How to adopt

Most of our dogs and puppies available for adoption are pictured below, or posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages! Please click the icons below to be taken to our pages, and please contact us if you would like more information about any of our dogs. We will be happy to tell you all about them! We will have more photos and sometimes videos too, so please feel free to ask!

All of our dogs and puppies are vaccinated and microchipped, and all dogs over 7 months old are also neutered / spayed. Most of our dogs are based in our shelter in Romania and are brought to the UK upon receiving home offer. We do sometimes have dogs in the UK already who need homes – we will specify if a dog is in the UK already under their photo.

If you’d like to offer one of our lovely dogs a place in your family, please get in touch! You can contact us via our contact page, by email at info@pawsfornewbeginnings.co.uk, or via our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will be more than happy to talk you through our adoption process and arrange a home visit. When that’s all done, we can make arrangements for your new family member to travel home to you.

 NOTE – We have made the difficult decision to change our adoption requirements slightly. We now note that – for the most part – we can no longer allow new adoptions of adult dogs where children under 10 years of age live in the home. This was a difficult decision to make, but one we felt necessary, as we cannot properly child test our dogs in Romania. There may be some rare exceptions to this rule – for example, if the dog is very young / a puppy, if a dog fostered in the UK or Romania has been properly tested with children, etc – please feel free to ask us if a particular dog or puppy can live with children!

We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible! In most cases, we respond to messages and emails within 48 hours, but during busier periods, this may take slightly longer.

BEAU – WISBECH, UK – Beau was adopted as a puppy in 2020, but was given up in 2024 for being too big. 5 year old Beau is a happy and loving boy, a real favourite at the kennels, but can be reactive on walks. He would suit a home experienced with large breeds.
ZEKE – IN SUFFOLK ANIMAL RESCUE, UK – Zeke is around 3 years old. He was rescued in Romania as a puppy, found a home in the UK and was sadly returned to us after a few weeks. He’s a lovely, intelligent boy. He’s eager to please and learn, knows basic commands, is housetrained and loves to walk and play with other dogs. He likes human friends too!
EFFY – Effy was rescued when she was very small along with her siblings. Sadly, she is still waiting for her forever home at 1 year old. We don’t want to see her grow up in kennels. She is timid but friendly and loving when she learns that she’s safe!
BEAUTY – Beauty is around 2.5 years old. She was rescued from the streets of Romania 2 years ago and hasn’t had a home offer in this time. She’s stuck in kennels and deserves a loving home. She’s a lovely girl, and gets on well with other dogs too.
ANNIE – Annie is a happy, friendly girl in need of a forever home. Annie likes people, and is good with other dogs. She is around 3 years old and will make a lovely addition to someone’s family.
BOBO – Rescued in June 2023, poor Bobo had been in kennels for years. He’s now fostered in EASTBOURNE UK. Bobo is 5 years old and desperate for a forever family of his own. He’s playful and affectionate, but is still learning how to feel safe in a home. Could you help him?
** RESERVED ** MAC – We rescued Mac after she was left to starve, abandoned in a field in the middle of nowhere. Mac is around 2.5 years old, and ever so friendly. She loves playing with her doggie friends at the shelter too!
LUCAS – Sweet and timid little Lucas was brought to the rescue a few months ago, but what he needs more than anything, is a home. He is 1 year old, and we would love to see him thrive with the right family. He is friendly with cats and dogs.
CALVIN – Calvin is a 3 year old boy who was rescued from a Romanian kill shelter. He now needs a loving home. He’s timid, but sweet and friendly. He also gets on well with other dogs.
KIMMIE – Beautiful Kimmie was found struggling to survive in a kill shelter. She is around 3 years old, very loving and friendly with people. She is also playful, and gets on well with other dogs!
DAVEY – This lovely boy is growing up in kennels, but deserves so much more. He is around 3 years old now but was rescued as a small pup. He is very friendly and affectionate, and is great with other dogs.
KAI – Rescued from the streets of Romania as a pup, Kai is now around 2 years old. He is good with other dogs, loving, friendly and playful, and so deserves a forever home.
CALI – Cali was rescued from the streets of Romania over a year ago but sadly is yet to find a home of her own. She is a friendly, playful girl who is around 2 years old. She is also good with other dogs.
CANDY – Candy was rescued as a tiny baby, but sadly still awaits a home. She is 2 years old now, very friendly, very playful, and great with other dogs and cats!
KARLA – 2 year old Karla was struggling in a Romanian kill shelter when we found her – she’s now safe with us but would love a place to call home! Karla is a sweet, shy girl. She is also good with other dogs.
PRECIOUS – 10 year old Precious was discarded by her previous owners on the streets and left with only her tatty outdoor dog house. She is loving, sweet and friendly, and desperately needs a warm retirement home. Precious has an old fracture in her leg – nothing can be done to treat it. She is comfortable but can only manage shorter walks.
BAMBI – Sweet Bambi is searching for her forever family after being rescued from the streets of Romania. She is being cared for by a friend in Romania, so she is well socialised, loveable and friendly. Bambi is around 2 years old.
KENJI – 2 year old Kenji has not had the best start in life. We rescued him from a Romanian kill shelter and he is now looking for a loving family to take care of him. Kenji is timid but friendly, and good with other dogs.
CHELSEA – Sweet Chelsea was rescued from a cruel kill shelter in Romania, where she lived in awful conditions. She’s around 3 years old, a bit timid at first, but friendly and good with other dogs!
MIRA – For 3 years poor Mira has lived outside, on a short chain, throughout hot summers and cold winters. She’s been in kennels for another 3 years. She’s now around 6 years old. We would love to show her that a better life is possible. She is friendly and gets on great with other dogs.
COBY – Lovely boy Coby is 3 years old. He was very popular as a baby but sadly he’s yet another pup growing up in kennels. He’s the sweetest, most friendly and playful pup in the world! He gets on well with people, dogs, cats and respectful children.
ROSS – 2 year old Ross was rescued from the streets of Romania when he was only a baby. He is ever so playful, curious and affectionate. He loves people, dogs and cats and really needs a family of his own.
CHARLIE – Lovely boy Charlie was rescued as a stray with his sister when he was really small. He is now around 1.5 years old, and his sister already found a home in the UK. He is a bundle of fun, loves to run and play and is good with people, cats and other dogs.
CHARLOTTE – Sweet Charlotte was rescued from a kill shelter but is now ready to travel to a loving home in the UK! She is a friendly but timid little girl, around 2 years old and good with other dogs.
BECKY – Beautiful Becky was rescued from the streets of Romania, and now needs a place to call home. She is around 2 years old now, friendly, gentle, good with cats and other dogs too. She is fostered currently in South Wales, UK.
MANGO – Poor Mango is a gentle soul found living alone in an abandoned building. He is being treated for mange and other parasites, and desperately needs a safe place top call home. He is kind and calm, and deserves a fresh start. He is around 2 years old.
OSCAR – Sweet boy Oscar was rescued as a little baby, and is still waiting for a place to call home. He is now 1 year old, friendly and affectionate. We don’t want to watch him grow up in a kennel!
PABLO – 2.5 year old Pablo is a sweet and affectionate boy. This handsome boy is friendly, playful and good with other dogs.
GRETA – Lovely Greta is a typical pup – happy, sweet, playful and friendly. She is 2 years old, and is good with other dogs! She just needs a forever family to adopt her.
TEDDY – Handsome boy Teddy was abandoned at our vets and is now searching for a place to call his forever home. He is around 2 years old, fun, friendly and affectionate.
JULIO – Handsome Julio is so friendly and affectionate, he would absolutely love to have a home of his own, someone to love him, cuddle him and keep him safe! He’s now around 2.5 years old and is also good with other dogs.
BANJO – Poor Banjo had a tough start in life. Our team in Romania took him in as an urgent case, when he was found sick with coronavirus and parvovirus. Thankfully our strong boy made a full recovery. He is now 1 year old, friendly, playful and ready to find his forever home.
JOHNNY – This cute teddy bear is still searching for his forever home in the UK. He was rescued along with his brothers from a factory’s yard where they would have died from cold or been run over. Sweet Johnny is around 2.5 years old, friendly, and good with other dogs.
REX – Poor Rex was rescued by our team in Romania recently. He was freezing cold, and had a broken leg. He’s now had surgery and his leg is healing well, so he’s ready to find a home. Rex is 3 years old, used to being around cats, is good with other dogs and very friendly with people.
ARIS – Sweet boy Aris is searching for a forever family after being found abandoned in a small Romanian village. He is around 1 year old, affectionate, and good with other animals.
PATRICK – 1 year old Patrick was rescued months ago, but still hasn’t been lucky enough to find a family. He is cuddly, affectionate and friendly. Good with other dogs and cats, too!
ZEUS – 5 year old Zeus was found abandoned, weak, cold, and fighting babesia. He has since received treatment and made a full recovery, and needs an experienced home, familiar with huskies. He would love a female companion dog, and needs a secure garden.
BEAR – Having been rescued from the streets, little Bear is now searching for his forever home. He is around 1 year old, and very loving. He is affectionate, playful, and great with other dogs and cats.
GRACE – Sweet Grace is looking for her forever home after being rescued from the streets of Romania. She’s around 2 years old, and friendly with other dogs.
SUKI – Lovely Suki was rescued by our team in Romamia as a baby, but sadly remains in kennels several months later.
She’s 1 year old, friendly, bubbly and playful. She just needs a second chance!
GEORGE – George is a lovely 1 year old boy who was rescued from the streets of Romania as a puppy with his siblings. He is sweet, gentle, and friendly, and gets along well with other dogs. George is so deserving of his forever home!
LUCY – Lucy is 1 year old and was rescued from the streets as a small puppy with a fractured leg. Her leg is now healed, but poor Lucy really struggles in kennels, especially in cold weather. Lucy is sweet and loving, and is ready for a nice warm home.
MABEL – Mabel was rescued from the streets of Romania and now needs a family to call her own. She is safe with a foster at the moment. She is 6 years old, friendly, playful, and gets on well with other dogs.
MAX – Max is 1 year old and one of the happiest boys at the shelter! He loves cuddles, kisses, and attention, with a constantly wagging tail. Max is playful with other dogs and friendly. He’s ready to bring joy to his forever family!
CEZAR – Rescued from the streets, our sweet, cuddly and playful boy Cezar is searching for a home! He is around 3 years old, and one of the most affectionate dogs we have – we would love to see him with a loving family.
FREYA – Freya is a lovely 1 year old girl. Rescued from the streets, she is playful, friendly, and always ready for fun. Freya has been in kennels since she was a baby, and is now searching for a loving home to call her own. Could she be the one for you?
PENNY – Poor Penny was found wandering the streets – all alone with nowhere to go. She is safe with us now, but really needs a loving home to call her own. Penny is around 4 years old, very friendly, and is great with other dogs and cats.
NORMA – Norma needs a home after a lifetime outdoors. Lovely Norma is around 5 years old and has never had a place to call home. Sleeping outdoors in harsh summers and cold winters. After all this time, she’s no longer wanted and we have been asked to find her a home.
Norma is a friendly girl and is good with other dogs.
LASSIE – This sweetheart is Lassie. She has unfortunately been living in someone’s yard in Romania for several years, spending most of her time attached to a short chain. We have agreement from her owner to find her a better home, and a better life. She’s now 8 years old and deserves comfort for the rest of her days! She is a super friendly and affectionate girl.
