All of our cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are vaccinated and microchipped, and all animals over 7 months old are also neutered / spayed. Most of our animals are based in the small private shelter we support in Romania, and are brought to the UK upon receiving a home offer.

We do sometimes have animals in the UK already who need homes – we will specify if a cat or dog is in the UK already underneath their photo over on our cats for adoption page, and dogs for adoption page.

If you’d like to offer one of our lovely cats or dogs a place in your family, please get in touch!

You can contact us via our contact page, by email at info@pawsfornewbeginnings.co.uk, or via our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will be more than happy to talk you through our adoption process. Alternatively, you can find our adoption process and costs information below. When you are familiar with the process, and if you decide to proceed with an adoption, we can arrange a home visit. When that’s all done, we can make arrangements for your new family member to travel home to you.

Adoption process – animals in Romania;

Should you decide you’d like to proceed with adoption, first we like to hear a little more about you as the adopter – for example, a bit about your home circumstances, if you have any other pets, your working hours, who lives in the home, if there are any children, if you own or rent your home, if your garden is secure, etc.

After you’ve sent us some more information about yourself and have told us which cats or dogs you’re interested in adopting, we will respond to arrange a quick chat on the phone to ask any additional questions we have, and also to answer any additional queries you may have.

If you’re happy to proceed after this chat, we will ask for a £50 reservation deposit for your chosen cat or dog, and then move to arrange the home visit. When this is passed, we make arrangements for your chosen baby to travel to the UK!

(Of course, if the home visit is not successful, the £50 deposit will be refunded.)

Adoption fees for animals already in the UK;

Cats in the UK;

There’s an overall adoption donation of £75 for cats already in the UK. This donation goes back in to the rescue, to subsidise high transport costs, and to support the rescue work we are doing in Romania. Our cats adoption fees are already heavily subsidised by public donations, so every little bit helps!

Dogs in the UK;

There’s an overall adoption donation of £200 for dogs already in the UK. This donation goes back in to the rescue, to subsidise high transport, veterinary and food costs, and to support the rescue work we are doing in Romania.
